Emerging from Stockholm and London, the ambidextrous producer-artist smiling LIS (aka Liselotte Östblom) creates soulful immersions of trippy textures and enigmatic beats with prominent influences from jazz, hip-hop and alternative RnB. Buzzing with fresh and vibrant energy, LIS invites the audience to her world in a solo show which features live-looping, beat-making, improvisation, and scat, spoken word and visuals.
On the forefront of blurring lines between genres, her single ‘RITUALS’ has been highlighted in EARMILK as “a sublime and soul-grabbing melodic performance”.
The Dilla-esque drunken beats of ‘RISING’ is a euphoric rush of vocal explosions and untamed guitar riffs, combining multi-layered harmonies, eclectic beat making and poetic lo-fi prophecies. On Fasching, smiling LIS will present completely new music from her forthcoming EP and make sure the audience is joining her dance.
