Works in a wide musical field in both other people's constellations and own groups. Touring with my quartet Almaz Yebio's Twist 'n shout, a group resurrected after 17 years of hiatus! We play our own songs and other favorites that fit our sound, without chord instruments. In the group, Karl-Martin Almqvist plays sax, Mattias Hjorth double bass, Peter Nilsson drums and I sing. In the trio with Krister Jonsson, guitar and Mats Ingvarsson, bass, there is more room for the lyrics and stories to emerge. Sometimes the trio plays with drums and percussion as well, and then it's the turn that takes center stage.
We recorded a record a few years ago, Down to earth, with music by some of our childhood heroes. It's wonderful to be able to make your own interpretations of music that has meant a lot over the years! Operating in Malmö.
